In bringing about awareness, we hope to ignite a passion among individuals and the local community to seek ways to make positive changes in these issues. Engage-Reality will offer educational resources and direct those seeking to make a difference by connecting them with hands-on opportunities to meet needs.

A note from our Founder...
Let me begin by telling you what Engage-Reality is not. We are not a self-help or counseling program. We are not a political group, nor do we have a political agenda. We do believe the issues we bring attention to should be discussed and positive action taken in all circles – political, spiritual, and social. We are not a church. We are only a part of the Body of Christ, doing what we have been commissioned by God to do. At Engage-Reality we do believe that a small group of thoughtful and committed people can be the change they wish to see in the world. We believe that really, really small actions, thoughts, and words can be the catalysts for that change.
In our world, there will always be needs. Hopefully we will never run out of the desire to meet any need as it arises. But to meet needs we first have to know…how. That was my passion for starting Engage-Reality. I have seen many well-intentioned people try to help others in crisis. But because of their lack of knowledge on the issue they were addressing, their well-intentions did more harm than good. The other side to the coin of why I started Engage-Reality was because of the indifference I saw from the Christian community on several social issues. The “I don’t know and I don’t care” mindset should never be one of a committed Christ-follower. If we are following the example of Jesus then we must look upon injustice, of any kind, with loving compassion.
Now the issues we are passionate about here at Engage-Reality may not be the same issues you are passionate for. Great – we were not created to be clones! The point is to be passionate about something, be passionate for someone. The mission of Engage-Reality is to bring awareness of social justices issues, through awareness bring passion, and encourage that passion to bring about action. Awareness, passion, and action may not happen in that order. You may join us in an action project just because someone you know invited you. Then through that action you may realize you can’t get “those people” out of your mind. Now you have a passion, but you need more awareness. However it happens for you, may you love God and love people.
I will no longer sit idle and watch injustice unfold around me. I can’t. God wants to do something deeper in the Body of Christ. I dare you…
